Yoga & Meditation Basic Retreat: A Journey through the Chakras 


In this retreat you’ll get acquainted with the subtle dimensions of our human being. We’ll make an inner journey through the chakras, or energy centres. In doing so we’ll focus on colour, symbolism, psychology and physical aspects.

I spent 10 days in La Borde Blanque doing the intensive Raja Yoga training. It truly was an amazing experience.

Elleke is a wonderful, passionate, knowledgable, experienced and compassionate teacher. The house lends itself perfectly and Elleke's family made us feel welcome, and could not do enough to suit all our needs.

The food is all freshly prepared daily with the best ingredients, with no shortage. I have implemented what I have learnt from Elleke into my yoga classes and the feed back from my students is all so positive. I will definitely return next year to further my training. Our International Raja Yoga Teacher Training, acknowledged by the International Yoga Federation, honorary member of the European Union of Yoga Associations and the Association Française de Yoga, consists of 5 modules, in the form of 10-days Yoga & Meditation Intensive Retreats. The whole Teacher Training course can be completed by a concluding interview and a certificate. The 5 different modules are being offered over a period of 2 and a half year and can be taken in any order. Each module can be concluded with a partial certificate. During the Intensive we build practice programme to take home. And in between the modules there is the possibility to contact the teacher. You can attend the 5 different modules in your own rhythm and timespan. In yoga there is no time.

Programme

This 10-Day retreat consists of 18 sessions of 3 hours, alternated with free afternoons in a rhythm adapted to the season. This leaves time and space for recreation and relaxation in and around the beautiful surroundings of La Borde Blanque.


Raja Yoga

We are a Raja Yoga School. Raja Yoga is one of the oldest and most complete forms of yoga, where the asanas (physical practices) are considered to be a preparation for meditation. Thus Raja Yoga includes Hatha Yoga and all modern styles. Meditation training is central to Raja Yoga, which is a training of the mind, nowadays called: 'mindfulness'. Classic meditation training, however, goes beyond mindfulness, leading to higher states of consciousness.The philosophy we discuss is supportive to our meditation training.

Module 1 (55 hours): 22 Sept - 2 Okt 2018: Introduction to the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali

This module offers a wonderful introduction to and deepening of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and thus to the essence of classical yoga philosophy. In this 10-day Intensive Retreat we discuss Chapter I and II of the 'Yoga Sutras of Patanjali ", a comprehensive study and practical application of the 8 steps of yoga and meditation. We’ll discuss the ethics of life- The different stages of higher consciousness - Different meditation techniques - Useful expressions of love- The philosophy of the causes of suffering - Living and integrating Yoga in our everyday - Hoe you live like a yogi? How do apply your yoga principles and practice in your daily life?

Participation

In order to participate in this Intensive module one needs to have completed our 2 Yoga and Meditation Basic Modules, or have an equivalent of experience in yoga and/or meditation elsewhere.

Preparation

Preparation for this module consists of reading chapters 1 and 2 of 'The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali'.

Module 2: (55 hours): 17 - 27  March 2018: Continuation of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali

This module offers a wonderful deepening of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali as well as Hatha Yoga Pradipika. It is very well possible to start with this module, without having attended module 1, for we’ll address different themes. We’ll start at the end of chapter 2, recapitulating the 8 steps of yoga and meditation, studying in a parallel way the text of Hatha Yoga Pradipika, which will be offered as a reader during this module. Then we’ll move towards chapter 3 and 4 of the Yoga Sutras, discussing the different stages of higher consciousness and the practical application in different techniques, leading to new dimensions of awareness and perception. Living and integrating Yoga in our everyday - Hoe you live like a yogi? How do apply your yoga principles and practice in your daily life?

Module 3: 2019 : Introduction to the Bhagavad Gita


The Bhagavad Gita is considered the jewel of the Vedas, the oldest scripts known. In this ancient mythical story essential wisdom of life is offered, in a very accessible way.

Themes to be addressed are: Central questions of life- Finding your purpose in life - The nature of detachment- The nature of the soul- Bhakti, Jnana, Karma and Raja Yoga – Acting in wisdom – Meditation as a way of Life, How to integrate yoga into your daily life?

In order to participate in this Intensive module one needs to have completed our 2 Yoga and Meditation Basic Modules, or have an equivalent of experience in yoga and/or meditation elsewhere.

Module 4:  2019: Continuation of the Bhagavad Gita

In this module we continue our study of the Bhagavad Gita, the jewel of the Vedas, the oldest scripts known. In this ancient mythical story essential wisdom of life is offered in a very accessible way.

Since the second half of the book offers different topics than the first half, it is very well possible to start with this module, without having attended module 3. As an introduction we start with a recapitulation of the first chapters of the book.

Module 5 (55 hours): 14 - 24 July 2018: Science of the Soul

This module offers a deepening perspective on the subtle anatomy of the human being and the cosmos along the study of the profound book: Science of the Soul’, by Swami Yogeshvarananda Sarasvati.*. We’ll discuss different dimensions and bodies along with different states of consciousness. Along with the subtle anatomy we’ll pay extra attention to didactics, how to structure a yoga sessions for yourself as well as for others and different groups. Living and integrating Yoga in our everyday - Hoe you live like a yogi? How do apply your yoga principles and practice in your daily life?

Participation

In order to participate in this Intensive module one needs to have completed our 2 Yoga and Meditation Basic Modules, or have an equivalent of experience in yoga and/or meditation elsewhere.

Central in this Intensive stands the practical application of yoga, especially meditation and classical yoga philosophy, and of course also asanas to modern and existential issues. Themes that people, who consciously live their lives, may struggle with and which can lead to a personal crisis.

This Intensive Retreat is an extra module in addition to and to deepen the International Raja Yoga Teacher Training, which we offer at La Borde Blanque.

This Intensive is designed for experienced yogis who have completed at least our two basic Retreats, or have a similar experience with yoga elsewhere and wish to explore the practical application of yoga. In addition, this Intensive is designed for yoga teachers, managers and health care workers, who aim to give individual coaching and guidance from the perspective of universal yoga philosophy and using asanas and meditation as tools.

The structure of this Intensive is like our other Intensive retreats and thus will be a retreat for yourself:

The days start with asanas, pranayama and meditation on a theme related to the chakras and possible associated problems, as it can manifest itself in physical, and emotional and mental level.

Then there is a breakfast break in silence, followed by an exchange of experiences. We conclude the morning sessions with a theoretical session in which we discuss the philosophy of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and the Bhagavad Gita and apply them to the theme and the issues we discuss that day.

The afternoons are free to relax, and to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of La Borde Blanque.

In the evenings, there is a relaxing asana and meditation session, in line with the theme of the day, but without any further theory.

Energy Healing Course (acknowledged by the INEH)

Healing from the Soul.
This 2-year course in Esoteric Healing is based upon the principles of health and disease, as described in the books of Alice Bailey. The course is given according to the directions of the INEH: International Network of Esoteric Healing.

Internationally the course is being offered in 4 parts, each with 5 to 6 months in between. At La Borde Blanque we offer these 4 parts in the form of week retreats, where the programme of the course allows time and space for rest and relaxation, processing of the course material and to enjoy nature and the magnificent environment of La Borde Blanque.
The week programme of the Esoteric Healing Course consists of 10 parts of 3 to 4 hours, alternated with free afternoons and evenings in a in a rhythm that befits the season.
At completion of the course the graduate is honoured by a certificate of the INEH.


Deepening Esoteric Healing Courses

For members of the INEH, who have completed all five parts of the International Course in Esoteric Healing we offer INEH Deepening Course Retreats once a year. These are five day course modules, each with a different theme, embedded within a weeks retreat, including space for rest, relaxation, digestion of course material and free time to enjoy nature and the beautiful environment of La Borde Blanque.
The programme of the week consists of 10 sessions of 3 to 4 hours, each consisting of a meditation, a lecture and/or dialogue and a practical session. These meetings are alternated with free afternoons and evenings in a gentle rhythm, adapted to the season.

Yoga, Nature & Hiking WeekWandeling Pyrenees

This week is meant for yoga- and nature lovers, who love yoga combined with nature hikes. In addition to 2 yoga & meditation sessions a day, we'll organise several lovely hikes in a variety of surrounding landscapes of 10-15 km average. La Borde Blanque is situated at the magnificent lake ‘Lac Montbel’, at the feet of the Pyrenees.

Programme:
We begin and end the days with yoga and meditation, in which our connection with nature will be central. No experience with yoga or meditation is required, but when you are experienced, there will be plenty of opportunity to deepen you experience. The sessions will be adjusted to meet your needs.
Then we'll have breakfast and make our packed lunch and snacks for our tour. The hiking programme is flexible. Shorter and longer walks will be alternated, according to the weather and temperature conditions. In the beginning or half way the afternoon we'll be back at la Borde Blanque and have the rest of the afternoon free. When the weather is very warm we may decide together to get up early and be back before noon to enjoy a siësta and a refreshing swim in the lake. In the evening there's another light yoga and meditation session.
Wednesday is a resting day as a break in the week.

Yoga & Nature Experience for FamiliesKinderweek

Dates:  28 july - 04 August 2018

             11 - 18 August 2018

During this week, there are daily yoga classes, both for parents and for children. In addition, there is a light and optional program with various activities such as guided nature walks, exercises in nature, care for and cuddling of animals, crafts, painting and sculpting. Some evenings there will be a nice campfire. 

And of course there is plenty of time space for yourself with your child(-ren) to go out.

Pros:
We had an amazing time at La Borde Blanque. I really enjoyed the yoga, delicious food, beautiful house and surroundings and company of host and other guests. My daughter enjoyed playing with the other children and enjoyed the kids yoga and activities. We also enjoyed spending time at the lake and river, visiting the puppies and grooming the ponies. Program

The program starts and ends each day with a yoga class for the adults. The kids have one yoga session a day with their age group. Experience with yoga and / or meditation is not needed. Everyone can participate at their own level. The program is meant for (grand) parents and children between 6 and 12 years. For children of other ages please contact us.

During the yoga classes for the parents, there is a guided activity for the kids.

Programme

The days start in silence with a yoga session. After breakfast (in silence) we will continue with three meditations, of which the first you will be guided into. The other two shorter meditations will be in silence, with small breaks in between. Afterwards there will be time for sharing and feedback and some extra teachings around a theme.

The afternoons are free to make a lovely hike, to rest and to enjoy and there is room for individual sessions. In the evenings there will be one yoga session before and a meditation in silence after dinner.

We'll celebrate New Year's Eve with a 5-course dinner and a bonfire. New years day we'll organise a lovely walk.

All classes and activities are optional. There is space to be together or to enjoy your private space. In the afternoons there is also the possibility of an individual session (see: Personal Coaching).

During the transition from childhood to adulthood a major part is exploring the big questions in life and shaping your place in the world. Many youths find themselves immersed in musing about philosophical matters and how these are integrated in daily life. Being full of vitality, enthusiasm and open to all the opportunities life holds for you, it is a perfect moment to start your journey to be[come] YOU.

Practices such as yoga, meditation and pranayama open up new doors to (re)connect with yourself and your environment. On this retreat you will find support during your journey of self-actualisation. In ‘digging deeper seminars’ we will explore a variety of relevant questions and subjects that young adults are faced with; getting to know yourself, loving yourself, trust, autonomy,  self-image, family-relations, choices and external expectations, letting go and how spirituality is interconnected with all these matters. There will also be lots of time for fun, food, laughing, games, enjoying the French countryside through hiking or swimming in the lake below the compound, and other relaxing and recreation activities. Imre is Raja yoga teacher and cultural anthropologist. For her, life is a continuous process of personal growth. Yoga and meditation have helped her on her path of self-realisation, to connect with herself and open her heart. Today, she is very passionate about guiding people on their path of yoga and personal development. She loves to connect with people from all over the world to build together towards a more sustainable, empowered and loving world.
