La Borde Blanque
La Borde Blanque is an authentic French country farmhouse. It is situated on the crest of a hill with a magnificent view over the surrounding countryside. It has a private lakeside beach on the beautiful Lac de Montbel, with clear and
clean water to swim. The 12 acre estate in the foothills of the Pyrenees is defined on one side by the natural boundary of the river Hers and on the on the others by the lake and the neighbouring forest. Old pilgrim routes through the varied landscape offer numerous opportunities for hiking. At la Borde Blanque we aim to live in an ecological and sustainable way. On the property there is a natural spring, from which we receive our mineral water, and our solar panels provide in almost all our energy. Our center is financed by the Triodos Bank.
The Country Manor
La Borde Blanque is a spacious and charming country house. It offers various opportunities to be together as well as to withdraw for some private space, both indoors and outdoors. As our guest you are welcome to enjoy the whole house and garden, including:
* 8 Large bedrooms, which can accommodate up to 15 guests.
* A spacious living room with an open fireplace and connected to an open terrace.
* An adjoining library.
* A spacious dining room connected to a large covert terrace.
La Grande Salle
La Grande Salle is our Yoga & Meditation Studio for our Retreats and Training.
It is characterized by it’s natural stone walls, high wooden ceiling and large windows, a lovely view over the surrounding countryside and with adjoining balconies.
It is 130 m2 and is fitted with central heating and 2 bathrooms.
Kitchen
There is a spacious kitchen where our cook prepares delicious vegetarian meals for our guests. We consciously choose our groceries, aiming to support the local and organic farmers in the region and follow the seasons as much as possible.
Lac de Montbel
The garden surrounding the house and La Grande Salle has big shady trees and a wide lawn, leading to the lake 'Lac de Montbel'. La Borde Blanque has a private lakeside area with comfortable grass and surrounded by trees, offering complete privacy. The water is clean and pure and delightful to swim in.
